Development closed, Download location canged.

Since the project is inactive for such a long time now, and most of the people working on 1914 went on to new things, the development of 1914 was closed. Thanks to our long term sponsor Stephan Hlawatsch who provided the download webspace and traffic. Unfortunately he had to move on as well, which is why the 1914 files are now hostet on 1914.thomas-ney.com. Most likely, this website will not be updated again. Visit 1914.thomas-ney.com for latest information. This site will be closed soon.

Website updated

Time and development passes on. Unfortunately, the content of this website wasn’t updated in the past. Therefore, I had a look over most of the pages and updated at least the mayor information like the broken download links. Nevertheless, the most current information on 1914 development can be found in our forums.

I added a little F.A.Q.-list to the Documentation which deals with the most important questions concerning 1914. This list will be updated when other common problems occur. Please have a look into the list for an answer before asking questions in our forum. Thanks!

Sprites

With the latest Developement-Beta, the 1914 project uses WW1-related sprites for Airunits and tanks for the first time. If you have more/better sprites, please let us know.

AI Coders needed

The 1914 project still lacks good AI coders. If YOU could imagine joining us and contribute to a project like ours, please visit our forum.
We count on your help!

New Nations

After some discussions, the Mod-Team has decided to represent parts of the British Empire as puppet nations instead of national territory. This affects all areas with Dominion-status. Therefore, in the upcoming 0.43 release, the following countries will be added:

  • New Zealand
  • Canada
  • South Africa
  • Newfoundland
  • Australia
